What is a Divorce Coach?

What is a divorce Coach? Just as you hire an attorney to guide you through the legal aspects of you divorce, you can hire a divorce coach to guide you through the emotional aspects of your divorce in Houston, Texas.

Because divorce is such an emotionally charged event, it is sometimes challenging for a person to distinguish the emotional aspects from the legal aspects. A divorce coach can assist you in distinguishing the emotional aspects from the legal aspects and can assist you in navigating your way through the intensely emotional challenges of divorce. A divorce coach can assist you in your communication with your spouse and your attorney to ensuring effective, calm and clear communication.

Many people going through divorce may manifest anxiety or feel stressed about their divorce. This anxiety (which can present itself in a variety of ways) can potentially interfere with the attorney’s ability to concentrate on the legal aspects of the case, which in turn could interfere with successful legal resolution. Having a divorce coach is effective in minimizing the stress of the divorce experience and having the outcome of your divorce a successful one.

Unlike psychotherapy, this is broad in scope, divorce coaching targets the divorce process. Divorce coaching assists clients in adapting to and coping with the emotions and practical aspects of their present situation. The targeted intervention of the divorce coach aims particularly at building communication skills. Divorce coaching assists clients in navigating their way through all the feelings about their divorce, which in turn, has their legal process go smoother and the transition easier.
